  • Real-time data on solar wind (solar wind velocity and particle density) transmitted by the ACE satellite, located between the Earth and the Sun, are updated every minute. The ACE satellite positioned at a L1 (Lagrangian) point, provides information on the solar wind's physical properties, by directly measuring it as it travels from the Sun to the Earth.
  • The observed solar wind velocity ranges from 200km/sec to 1,000km/sec. A velocity below 500km/s considered low and a velocity above 700km/sec deemed high.
